Elena Sopoci, violin/viola

    Violinist and violist Elena Sopoci holds a Masters degree in performance from the University of Wisconsin and has played with leading orchestras in the United States and Europe, including the Toledo and Minnesota Orchestras, the Lugano, Switzerland Radio Orchestra, and the Barcelona, Spain Opera Orchestra.
    In New Mexico, Sopoci is a member of the Santa Fe Symphony and has performed with the Santa Fe Opera, New Mexico Symphony, Santa Fe New Music and the Serenata of Santa Fe. She has an active private teaching studio, teaches at United World College, has taught violin and viola at the College of Santa Fe, and was Orchestra Director at the Santa Fe Waldorf School.
    Sopoci has been a concerto soloist with the Santa Fe Symphony and the Santa Fe Community Orchestra and takes part in the Cabrillo Music Festival in Caliornia in the summer.
