Carole Whitney, cello

    Cellist Carole Whitney is a highly regarded performer and teacher now living in Denver. She was the former Assistant Principal Cellist of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, where she performed countless orchestral and chamber music concerts throughout New Jersey. Additionally she performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Ballet, and the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra.
    Whitney is a tenured member of the orchestra of the Santa Fe Opera. In Colorado she performs with the Colorado Symphony, the Colorado Bach Ensemble, the Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado, and as principal cellist with the Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra. Passionate about sharing her love of music with people of any age, she is an active coach and clinician in schools and with youth orchestras. Her enthusiasm for teaching has made students a focus in her life now. When not performing or teaching one can find her in the art studio working in collage and mixed media.
